Program Description: This course addresses the needs of supervisors/managers who perform or may be involved in employee investigations and discipline in our current environment. Through the use of case studies and role playing, participants will learn to conduct a thorough investigation, analyze and summarize the results and make meaningful disciplinary recommendations or decisions. Case studies will involve both traditional and emerging complex issues such as off duty misconduct, abuse of technology and performance improvement.
Audience and Prerequisites: Registration for this 2-day program is limited to employees who are designated as supervisor, manager, or confidential. This training is for State of Wisconsin and public sector employees only. While it is not mandatory, it is strongly encouraged that State of Wisconsin supervisors/managers have already attended the Personnel Administration training for new supervisors (or basic supervisory equivalent) prior to attending the AER program.
